It was Matsumoto who inspired her to take up ceramic work which has become a new and lasting passion. She has worked with clay since 2000 and a whole new vista has been revealed to her. She prefers Raku firing:Japanese potters’ shapes and techniques are her examples: and the Japanese tea ceremony is her big source of inspiration.
